Champions For Health is a pilot project engaging the students and staff of Morrilton Intermediate School during the 2018-2019 school year. You can become an integral partner as we work to wrap the entire school campus in fitness, nutrition and health strategies!

Why Adopt-A-Classroom?

Because your investment will bring resources to this project with the overall goal to improve the health and fitness of both teachers and students by the end of the school year.

Infusing the campus with health, fitness, and nutrition education means there will be weekly challenges issued by the teachers, which will serve to keep the students inspired and focused on their health. We also plan to issue challenges for the teachers with fun incentives to keep them excited about becoming healthier. Hosting weekly lunch & learn presentations for the teachers will be part of our pilot, along with coordinated group exercise before or after school. In addition, we plan to engage parents with activities to promote health and nutrition in the home environment in coordination with the school. Students will also benefit from fun fitness activities during both PE and recess, plus we will be reviewing how to improve the nutrition in the cafeteria based on the guidelines in place. As a sponsor, you may have additional ideas how to support this initiative, so we welcome your input.
